My name is Carly and welcome to Vancity Bake Shop. For years I have been developing and perfecting my recipes in the hopes that one day I would be able to share my love of baking. All the desserts and treats offered are made with the freshest whole ingredients available. At Vancity Bake Shop we use organic and local produce whenever available. We do not substitute shortening for butter, we do not use artificial sweeteners either.
My passion for baked goods started as a very young child. Each year on my birthday my mother would make me a homemade birthday cake of my choice. I remember she had this adorable cake book that I would pour over, studying each picture until the perfect cake was selected. My mom would then create these amazing cakes that have stuck with me throughout the years.
As well, in my family I am surrounded by a group of amazing women who all love to eat and talk about food. We try to have family dinners at least once a week and while we gather around the table to catch up we inevitably turn our focus to Food. We talk about what we are eating, what we tried our hands at that week, which restaurants we are looking to try/what we had at which restaurant that was out of this world, or planning dinner parties as an excuse to make amazing food for those that we love.
After graduating university and working for several years in finance, I have come to realize that my true passion, what I really want to do each and everyday is bake. Thanks to my friends and family, especially my hubby, always conveniently being around to taste test my goodies. Their support and encouragement has given me the fortitude to take the next step.

The menu will periodically be updated with new and exciting baked goods to keep flavors fresh for the season and introduce you to new and wonderful temptations.
